Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA)

Who issues event permits in Ras Al Khaimah?

Event permits in Ras Al Khaimah are issued by the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) through its Events Permits online portal — the official unified platform for event permits under Executive Council Resolution No. (9) of 2020 on the regulation of events in the emirate. The permit runs from application to issuance, and an approved event is included in the emirate's official events calendar.

Which events need a permit?

RAKTDA's process guideline covers seven categories: business, entertainment, sporting, religious, charity, cultural and community events. Entertainment events also need entertainer permits for the performers, which RAKTDA issues separately from the event permit.

How Nexa Event helps

We determine which approvals your event needs in Ras Al Khaimah, prepare and submit the RAKTDA application, follow it through to issuance, and coordinate the related approvals for performers and activities — alongside registration, production, branding and staffing for the event itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a RAKTDA event permit take?

RAKTDA's published guideline says the authority notifies its decision within a maximum of five working days, and asks for applications at least fifteen days ahead for indoor events and at least one month ahead for outdoor events (source: RAKTDA Process Guideline, verified on 22 August 2026). Apply early — approvals for performers and activities run alongside the main permit.

Which events in Ras Al Khaimah need a permit?

Business, entertainment, sporting, religious, charity, cultural and community events — the seven categories in RAKTDA's process guideline. If you are unsure which category your event falls under, we confirm it before applying.

Do performers need separate permits in Ras Al Khaimah?

Yes. RAKTDA issues entertainer permits separately from the event permit, and entertainment events need both. We arrange them together as part of our service.

Do we need a Ras Al Khaimah company to get the permit?

Event permits in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah are applied under Nexa Event's own trade licences; for certain permit categories, additional requirements apply — we confirm exactly what is needed for your event.

Can Nexa Event handle Ras Al Khaimah alongside Dubai and Abu Dhabi?

Yes. We manage DET e-Permits in Dubai, DCT event licences in Abu Dhabi and RAKTDA event permits in Ras Al Khaimah, so a multi-emirate programme keeps one accountable partner.
